This popular gastro pub in the Cathedral area is part of the Lace Market Hotel group.
A good place to take your auntie or an out of town visitor. It has a large downstairs dining area and a comfy upstairs bar with big armchairs and a roaring log fire. It’s a good place to chill out after work.
The food is reasonably good but very expensive and when we we there the portion size was completely erratic. The last time we were there, the menu was a bit sparse. However, looking at their website, I must admit that it looks pretty good. Obviously another visit is required!
They have a decent selection of wines but there are only a couple of real ales.

Good for an after work drink. Good ambience and nice for a chill. I think the food is overpriced. Same group as the Lace Market Hotel – go there for a whiskey – exceptional range.
